Pure Tone Check

Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 18, 2026

This policy explains what information Pure Tone Check collects when you use the free hearing screening tool at this site, why we collect it, who we share it with, and what choices and rights you have. It is written for adults in the United States and follows the requirements of the U.S. CAN-SPAM Act. Because the site is operated from Brazil, it also follows Brazil's Lei Geral de Proteção de Dados (LGPD).

Who operates this site

Pure Tone Check is operated by Alexitiimia, based in Brazil. See our Contact page for how to reach us.

What we collect

The screening itself runs entirely in your browser. No audio is recorded, and nothing is sent anywhere while you take it. If you choose to enter your email address at the end to receive your chart, we collect:

We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.

Why we collect it

We use this information to email you the chart you asked for and related educational content about hearing and pitch perception, and to understand, in aggregate, which channels and campaigns bring visitors to the site so we can improve outreach. We do not sell your information.

Service providers

We rely on two outside companies to run this site, both acting on our instructions as data processors:

Advertising cookies and tracking parameters

If you reach this site through an ad, the advertising network (for example, a search or social ad platform) may place a cookie or read one it has already placed, and the link you clicked may carry a tracking parameter that we store alongside your results, as described above. You can control advertising cookies through your browser settings or your ad account's opt-out tools.

International data transfer

We are based in Brazil and our visitors are based in the United States. The service providers listed above may store and process information in the United States or in other countries where they operate infrastructure. Whenever information is transferred internationally, we take reasonable steps to keep it protected consistent with this policy.

How long we keep it

We keep your email address and results for as long as needed for the purposes described above, or until you ask us to delete them, whichever comes first.

Your rights

Under LGPD, you can ask us to confirm whether we hold data about you, access it, correct it, anonymize or delete it, port it, or tell you which third parties we've shared it with, and you can withdraw any consent you gave. Under CAN-SPAM, every marketing email we send identifies us as the sender, uses an honest subject line, and includes a working way to opt out — and we honor opt-out requests promptly. To exercise any of these rights, see the next section.

How to unsubscribe or request deletion

Every email we send includes an unsubscribe link. You can also email endrikyaxell@gmail.com at any time to unsubscribe, ask what data we hold about you, or request that it be corrected or deleted. We aim to respond within a few business days.

This is a screening, not a diagnosis. Nothing collected here, and nothing said in follow-up emails, is a substitute for examination by a licensed audiologist or physician.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will update the "last updated" date above. Continued use of the site after a change means you accept the updated policy.
